ENDOMETRIOSIS
Endometriosis is a complex inflammatory condition of excess endometrium build up. It is a condition that is on the increase. Signs of pain during ovulation (about two weeks after the start of the period) and very painful periods can be the first signs, and although symptoms can be tolerable at the outset, they can progress quickly with terrain degradation often when the patient faces an emotional or physical stress. Many patients also face energy deficits that contribute to the problem.
For many endometriosis patients one of the main issues is management of pain, which often does not seem to be affected by painkillers or contraceptive pills and devices. Pain can also be experienced after endometriosis surgery with post-surgery inflammation, and this needs special attention. For women of reproductive age, fertility is a major consideration; incremental regulation and reduced inflammation may help improve your chances.
How I work
Although estrogenic proliferation is the main cause of endometriosis, my own experience with patients shows that endometriosis patients can have activation of the nervous system along with hypersensitivity and congestion of the entire pelvic and abdominal areas. My work therefore involves herbs and nutritional support that aim to provide more balance for hormones, release pelvic inflammatory congestion and downregulate nervous system overactivity.

Case report
My client had endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and was seen post-surgery; experiencing extreme and constant pain, severe sleep deprivation and debilitating headaches; she was confined to home. Following herbal treatment and nutritional support for four months, her constant pain and hormonal headaches resolved, she is able to sleep and has been able to resume a normal life.
POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME and FIBROIDS
PCOS is a polyendocrine disorder associated with glycemia / hyperinsulinemia and dysregulated androgen and estrogen balance; any of these can be the initiating factor or the problem could be a combination. Menstruation can be heavy. Cycles tend to be mainly unovulatory (infrequent ovulation), with great repercussions on fertility. Visceral adipocity, acne, hirsutism (excess hair) may be present but not always.
Fibroids (leiomyomas) are another hormonal growth anomaly of myometrial origin (the muscle of the uterus); their location can be intrauterine (inside the uterus) or extrauterine (outside the uterus); common signs are pain, bleeding and infertility.
How I work
As with my work on endometriosis, PCOS and fibroid patients need holistic and personalised herbal and nutritional support which can benefit their overall outcomes. If you would like to learn more please contact me for a personalised review.
